1. Who we are

caliaircrew.com, a crew directory and set of pilot tools, is operated by James Bailey, doing business as Cali Aircrew ("Cali Aircrew," "we," "us"), San Ramon, California (fictitious business name statement filed in Contra Costa County). By using the site you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. A directory, not a broker, employer or air carrier

• Cali Aircrew lists crew members (pilots, flight instructors, flight attendants, mechanics) and aircraft owners and operators so they can find and contact each other.
• We are not an air carrier, charter operator, indirect air carrier, charter broker, employer, staffing agency or flight school. We do not sell, arrange, offer or hold out air transportation, and we do not hire, employ, schedule, pay or supervise anyone listed on the site.
• Any agreement between members is solely between them. Owners and operators are responsible for complying with all applicable regulations, including 14 CFR Parts 61, 91, 119 and 135, insurance requirements, and employment and tax law.

3. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email; you can add an authenticator app (such as Google or Microsoft Authenticator) for extra security and a backup email for recovery. You're responsible for keeping access to your email, devices and authenticator secure, and for activity on your account.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.

4. Profiles and content you post

• Profiles are advertisements. You're responsible for keeping your profile accurate and current, including certificates, ratings, type ratings, hours, currency, training, medical status and availability. Don't post anything false or misleading.
• Profiles are reviewed before they appear publicly, and changes to free-text fields are reviewed again. We may decline, edit for formatting, hide or remove any profile or content, and suspend or close accounts, at our discretion.
• Don't post phone numbers, email addresses or links in free-text fields; members contact each other through the site.
• A profile photo is optional. It must be a recent, professional photo of you, with no text, logos, phone numbers, email addresses, QR codes or other people as the subject. Photos are reviewed before they appear, and we may decline or remove any photo.
• You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce and format it to operate and promote the directory, for as long as it remains on the site.

5. Verification badges

An "FAA verified" badge means a Cali Aircrew administrator matched the member's name and certificate information against the public FAA Airmen Inquiry at a point in time. It does not confirm medical certification, currency, training, type-specific proficiency, insurance eligibility, background, character or fitness for any flight. Owners and operators must do their own verification before hiring or flying with anyone.

6. Checklists, endorsements and other tools

The checklist builder, suggested model checklists, pick lists, endorsement wording and reference information are general suggestions. They are not FAA-approved and are not the manufacturer's checklists or procedures. Always verify every item against the aircraft's approved AFM/POH, applicable FAA guidance (including AC 61-65 for endorsements) and your operator's procedures. The pilot in command remains solely responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft.

7. Acceptable use

Don't: impersonate anyone; post false credentials; harass, threaten or discriminate; send spam or unsolicited commercial messages; scrape, bulk-download or resell directory data; try to access others' accounts or private information; probe, overload or bypass the site's security; or use the site to violate any law or regulation.

8. Partners and third parties

Partner listings are sponsored. Links to third-party sites and services are provided for convenience; we don't control or endorse them and aren't responsible for their content, products or services.

9. Fees

Crew profiles and pilot tools are currently free. If we introduce paid features (for example, operator plans or partner listings), their prices and terms will be shown before you buy.

10. Disclaimers

The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any member is qualified, current, insured or suitable for any job.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cali Aircrew and its owners, administrators and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from flights, employment, contracts or other dealings between members, or from reliance on any profile, badge, checklist, endorsement or other content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100. 12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Cali Aircrew against claims arising from your content, your use of the site, your dealings with other members, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

13. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete my account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or put members at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example 5, 6 and 10–14) survive termination.

14. Changes, governing law and contact

• We may update these Terms; we'll post the new version with a new effective date and, for significant changes, notify members by email or on the site.
• These Terms are governed by California law. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Contra Costa County, California. [Attorney to decide on arbitration / small-claims carve-out.]
